💫 Don’t Be Surprised When the Dream Arrives: Learning to Embrace Your Brilliance Without Fear

“There have been moments in my lifetime when I have been shown My absolute greatness… Waiting for me to accept it is not a sin to express my brilliance.”
– Jessica Duff, Majik Journey

Take a breath. Let those words settle. Maybe even close your eyes and feel them.

This week—whether by chance, synchronicity, or something I quietly created—I was offered an opportunity to pursue a long-held dream.

Not the kind I’ve shouted from the rooftops.
This one lived quietly inside me, waiting.

And when it came? It was simple. Almost gentle.

It was like watching a movie play out in real time—familiar, yet surreal. As the dream began to unfold, my excitement grew. So did the fear. My eyes were bug-eyed, my body on full alert. But here’s the difference: this time, I recognised the fear for what it was.

Because the dream? It was crystal clear.
There was no denying it. No brushing it off.
This was it.

And I didn’t run.

✨ You’re the Creator

Here’s what I’ve come to understand about myself—I am a creative being.
Not just artistic. Creative in the deepest sense: I shape my life with my thoughts, beliefs, and energy.

And yes, I created my own burnout. That’s hard to admit, but it’s true. I ignored my desires, clung to old beliefs, and eventually, my body said no more. (Read more about that here) Listening to Your Body in Burnout: A Personal Journey

But here’s the kicker—chance isn’t real.
I asked, and I received.

🌟 So Why Are We So Shocked?

When the good comes, when the thing you quietly hoped for finally arrives… why are we so surprised?

Maybe it’s because we’ve been conditioned not to expect good things.
Maybe no one ever told us: You’re allowed to be great.

But if you pause and reflect, I bet you can find moments—however small—when you were shown your brilliance. Your path. Your truth.

The real question is: Were you ready to say yes?

đź’ˇ Tending the Spark Before It Catches Fire

Before fear takes the wheel and drives your dream into hiding, try this:

1. Catch the Whisper
Don’t wait for a lightning bolt. The signs are subtle. Listen.

2. Say Thank You
Gratitude shifts your energy from fear to trust.

3. Speak Kindly to Yourself
You’re not “too much.” You’re not “not enough.” You’re becoming.

4. Celebrate Quietly (or Loudly!)
Honour your dream however you choose—just honour it.

5. Let It Be Messy
There’s no perfect way to say yes. Imperfect action is still action.

🖋️ Journaling Prompt

“When have I glimpsed my own greatness—and what did I do next?”

Did I step in… or shrink away?
And what would it look like to say yes next time?

Your brilliance isn’t waiting for permission—it’s waiting for acknowledgment.
✨ Shine anyway.
